The Bellevue Christian Vikings and their first year program was off to a good start, 2-0. Now 4-3, with one of those wins coming from a forfeit makes me question if they can even pull out a season above .500 with only two games left. Over the year they have had to overcome many injuries, one of the biggest occurred last game against Tacoma Baptist with All Star performer both on and off the field Rajan Hanstad broke his collarbone in the 1st quarter. Many people at the start of the season were questioning if Rajan and others part of the BCS basketball team should even participate in this inaugural season. Now two key players on the basketball team Josh Catlett and Rajan Hanstad are injured and questionable for this basketball season.
This now opens up two spots in the top 6 for the Bellevue Christian Vikings basketball both spots being filled by two non-football athletes. Both Bo Foster and Tor Coyle have been great friends throughout school almost doing everything together being the classic one two punch on campus they decided to be some of the few students at BCS to hold off on football even though both very strong in the weight room. Together they decided to take their talents to golf, Foster being the #1 golfer on the team and placing #3 in the Emerald City League Tournament. Looking back on it now, it sure seems like a great move for these two. Before this football season they would of had very little playing time, but now one of the two will be taking on one of the starting positions and the other being the 6th man. But should more of the basketball team of held out like these two athletes Bo and Tor? But the real question is, can either of them handle all this pressure being dumped on them this basketball season?
