    Toledo's #1 assistant Grady Fallon had head coaching experience at Morton. He was a stand out for McDaniel at Toledo in the mid nineties. Toledo has had a run of excellent coaches, including Merzoian's coach at Toledo, Bill Bakamus. If Merzoian does step down the tradition should continue.

    Most of the members of the 1A Evergreen League were part of the 2A Evco in 2000. They had to face Clay Johnson of Elma. He pitched the Eagles to a state championship. He went on to pitch at UW and finished his career at Lewis-Clark State.
