4A, 2008, Speed burners

If you are looking for the state's "burners" then you should probably move your search on down to the 2A ranks. Brett Blanshan of Selah ran a 10.36 100, he ran a 10.62 earlier in the year at the Pasco invite. Wandling of Prosser and Dunn of Hockinson ran a 10.72 and 10.70 this year as well. In the 200 Dunn ran a 21.73. In the 400 Dunn and Wandling are have ran in the 48.6 range while Bruns of Prosser is in the 49's. Mason Mchenry of Sehome has run a 49.0 400 and a 1.52.46 800 this year as well. So after looking at the numbers it would seem to me that the true "burners" in Washington this year are coming from the 2A ranks. Ooops I almost forgot to mention Blanshan and Dunn are both Juniors, so keep in mind after the state championships they still have that final year to track down any records they somehow failed to break in their first three.
