Expansion National Indoor Football League (NIFL) franchises Everett and Tri-Cities are doing their fair share of winning in their first seasons in the League. The Everett Hawks are undefeated at 12-0 with just two games remaining in the season while the Tri-Cities Fever sit at 8-4 and boast a 6 game winning streak.

Both teams have earned playoff births and both are considered the hotest teams in the NIFL. The NIFL consist of 22 teams throughout the United States from New Jersey to Florida, Texas, to Nebraska, Montana, Wyoming, Missouri, and Georgia to name a few.

The Tri-Cities Fever team consist of several former Washington high school and/or college players including wide receiver Mike Rigell (Seattle/BYU), Linebacker Ron Childs (Kamiakin/WSU), Defensive Back Jeremy Bohannon (Richland/WSU), Linemen Zach Fife (Yakima/C.Washington), Jason Cobb (Kennewick/U. of Idaho), Josh Jelinek (Prosser/U. of Idaho), wide receiver Josh Jelmberg (Richland/U. of Idaho), wide receiver/running back Thomas Ford (Seattle/Linfield College), Tali Ena (Prosser/WSU/U. New Mexico), Michael Che Romero (C. Washington), and Garrett Smith (Tacoma/U. of Utah).

The team is also coached by Head Coach Dan Whitsett (Tri-Cities Prep), defensive coordinator Tim Maher (Kamiakin High School), and defensive backs coach Tim Farrington (Richland).
