I understand it was cold, and there was a headwind, and there was no competition, and the starter was bad, and his blocks slipped and etc...etc..etc..
Yes he is fast for a freshman, but don't set him up for a fall. He is an o.k. high school sprinter right now. Don't put undue pressure on the kid. Think how fun it would have been to stay silent and then shock everybody at district with this freshman who came from nowhere. Now anything but a district championship will be an underachievment. Give the kid some time to develop without the undue pressure.
You guys make him out to be a god and his times are very mortal.
