Does anyone know how many states play 8 man football?

I live in WV and this question was asked on our rivals Tristatepreps.com. It would be interesting to know. Thanks.

 

[8 is enough]

Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, California, Nevada, Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arizona, Missouri, Iowa, Alabama, Kentucky, New Mexico, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia I know play 8-man. That is 19 States. Add them to your list on the east coast that I have not mentioned and that will probably be all of them.

South Dakota and Minnesota I know play 9-man.

Texas and Nebraska (who also plays 8-man) I know play 6 man.

Vermont and Virginia play either 8 or 9 man but not sure which.
