Former Hockinson player Hall wins Oregon state title

Hayden Hall, a former Hockinson standout, won the 5A state title with his new team Jefferson (Portland) this weekend.

The 6'6 senior transferred last spring for unknown reasons (presumably exposure).

He had nine points in the Class 5A title game and was the Democrats' third leading scorer on the season.

Hall is currently looking to join his older brother Josh in the world of collegiate hoops. Josh was a Hockinson graduate and is the all-time leading scorer at Hockinson. He now plays at Cal Poly-Pomona.

Congrats to Hayden, although we all wish he would have stayed in Hockinson, as he could have been an addition that could have propelled the Hawks past the round of 16 this year. Again, though, congratulations!
