Hello Washington Preps Fans!

Many of you post here on a regular basis. You probably understand that the Rivals.com Network has the ability to reach Coaches and Recruiters on a National Basis. We are a Part of the Premier Network.

The only way we can help more Athlete's From Washington State is to get more stories on Quality Kids. That means we need help. During Football Season we had a lot of submissions to our site from Field Reporters. Some of them write for us on a regular basis now.

That is what I am looking for in Washington Hoops. We need someone from each League and Level that can help. The State is just too big and we are just too thin staffing wise. But together we can do more.

Who knows one of your stories may help a kid make it on to college. That type of thing can change the life of a young man or woman. So jump in and help us out.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO WRITE. We will edit your story and spice it up as needed. All we need is:

Players Name
Players School
Players Stats and Numbers
News about the Player and Team
Anything Of Interest about the Player.
A Contact Number if you have it.

We also want help analyzing the Playoffs and the teams involved in them.

To help just email me at dirkknudsen@gmail.com.

Wesco District

Opening play in game OH at Shorewood. Denmon wont be stoped and will score 20+ points to be the driving force in what should be a double diget win for OH

In the top of the bracket OH won the right to play top seed Monroe that is the one team that is packed with the aggressive defenders that can slow Denmon down. Monroe +6
Lake Stevens at Jackson will come down to LS’s undersized warior F Warbis vs Jacksons inside height with 5-11 Stofell and 6-2 Haataja both teams have long range bombers that if they get hot can win a game but without Schumacher being dead on this game will go to Jackson +4

In the bottom Marysville will win out over Kamiak by 10 by using the home court advantage and superior firepower and better all-round game.

The most interesting 1st round game will be Arlington at EW. Arlington has 4 6 footers that get good playing time that could match up with EW’s front line of Albertson, Donaldson and Woods. And 5-11 Kesselring at G will present some match up challenges for EW’s 3 shorter G’s. If EW comes out slow like their last 2 regular season Arlington could give them fits in the second half with their deeper bench (10 girls scoring at lease 1 basket per game) but in the end Albertson and Woods inside play along with EW’s vastly higher BB HQ backcourt Kenney and Kasper will control the game. EW +8

The third spot for state will be between MP and Jackson. With Sam still playing I would take Jackson Hands Down but with out it will be a very close game with Jackson + 2 in the end.

Wesco District should come down to a very interesting match up of two very talented teams with contrasting styles but very similar in many ways ? Edmonds-Woodway and Monroe.

Monroe plays a stifling full court press on defense that creates bushels of points off turnovers and in transition. But EW has played man-to-man D all year and has matched everyone very well as their 19-1 record shows. Due to a lack of height on Monroe’s part and the mobility of EW’s big’s I’ll take EW +6.

Interesting point, I count 20+ girls in the playing rotation’s for Wesco teams this year from just 2 AAU programs Blaze and TTT. Including the Wesco title game with Monroe’s Alyssa and Ashleigh Brazel and EW’s Kasper having played at TTT. Girls that have played for Blaze and did some time at TTT when they were younger - Monroe's Clark, EW - Curtis, Kenney, Woods. That’s 7 total including 5 starters.
