The Fishermen get lots of practice hitting it out of both water and sand!
Actually, I golfed before on the course at the north end of the peninsula. It's a nice little course. Is this where Ilwaco holds its home matches?

Yup, that's the one. The greens have been changed on some holes since my days, but it still plays about the same.

Whealdon plays on the Hogan Cup for Washington

2008-2009 Ilwaco Fishermen, These kids are good! Jack Whealdon played for Team Washington in August shooting 69-76 and finshing tied for 9th out of 48 of the best on the West Coast.
