With UW-bound Geoff Brown going the distance for Jackson, Stanwood took the lead in the top of the 1st inning with a 2 run bomb by catcher, Doug Joyce. Jackson tied the score at 2-2, 3-3, and 4-4 until the top of the 7th when Stanwood hit a two out, two run double off the left field wall at Everett Memorial Stadium. Although Stanwood committed two errors in the bottom of the 7th with one out, they ended the game on a 6-4-3 double play. In order to make the state tournament, Jackson must now work its way through the loser's bracket by winning three consecutive games to get the Wesco #3 and final seed.
