Why doesn't track get a big gold...person, or something. I mean Soccer and Basketball all get a big gold trophey with names, why doesnt XC or track? I've always wondered.

You know, honestly, I think that's what makes track unique. You work so hard at a personal level to make huge accomplishments. Your ending results are that of a ribbon that carries a certain amount of sentimental value. I guess if you're all about the trophies, a crystal ball or a trip to disney land, then you're in the wrong sport. I think it's good tradition to earn the awards that are presented in the end, but that's just me.
