This should be the game of the year for the Northeast 1B League, the game to determine the league title (yes, even with three weeks to go).

The two teams met in September in front of a huge crowd in Odessa during the town's annual Deutchesfest celebration -- two early ACH mistakes allowed Odessa to open up quick for a 34-12 win.

Odessa enters the week 6-0, ACH is 5-1, both 3-0 in the NE-1B. Odessa is the top-ranked team in the state in both the WPC and AP polls, ACH No. 3. Odessa has a well balanced attack behind quarterback Drake Costlow, while ACH has been primarily run with Greg Giese and Jordan Hughes -- however, the Warriors have had some success in the last few weeks passing the ball, so this one could be a barn burner.

Kickoff is Friday night, 7 p.m., at the ACH field in Coulee City -- approximately (along Highway 2) 68 miles east of Wenatchee, 96 miles west of Spokane). Get there early -- the ACH folks usually put on some kind of fund-raising feed, and it's always good.

Look for a complete preview Thursday night.
