Puyallup 3, Olympia 1.........................Capital 5, Auburn 2

Graves beat Wright.... Oly plays Kentwood at 5pm today for the 3/4 District #7 seed. The winner plays #1 seed Capital at Heidelberg Park at 2PM next Saturday.

Capital beat the SPSL Champ Auburn 5-2 this afternoon in Kent. Capital's starting pitcher was a surprise as they threw the soft-throwing lefty Casey Mitchell, making his first start of the season. He threw 5+ IP giving up 0 ER, 2 unearned. Kellen Kiilsgaard started for Auburn and threw 4 innings and gave up three runs but was in trouble all day and had a high pitch count. Auburn cut it to 4-2 in the 5th off Mitchell, but ace Brian Shannon came in and shut the door. Capital advances to state for the 3rd consecutive season.
