I think that there are some good coaches out there with the heart and determination to lead their team to victory, but my vote on coach of the year would have to be Ron Hoiness of the Lake Quinault Elks because he goes out of his way to take care of his football players unlike most coaches.

Several Good Choices that have been mentioned on the Pac-NW8 site. Here is some of the information that has been posted on that site....

Jim Sandusky, Lummi - 8-1, will make the playoffs in just the third season of Lummi Football. Finished second overall in the Pacific Coast North Division with their lone loss coming to Clallam Bay early in the season.

Dan Whitsett, Tri-Cities Prep (Frist Year) - 5-4, First winning season in program history, played most of the season with 8 to 10 players, had no seniors on the roster, previous three seasons TC Prep only won 6 games total. Defeated both Touchet and Prescott for the first time in the four year program history.

Jeff Nelson, LaCrosse-Washtucna - 8-0, Have won 31 straight games without a defeat, did not play four complete quarters all season due to mercy ruling every opponent, defeated a top Idaho contender in Troy (ID). Has solidified that team into a "Powerhouse" B-8 Football Program.

Wayne Compton, Pe Ell - 8-0, Made the transition for B-11 to B-8 with an undefeated regular season in the South Division of the Pacific Coast. Mystery man that not a lot of people know much about yet.

Tim Sphere, Colton-Pullman Christian - 6-3, turned around a program that finished at the bottom of the Southeast B-8 Conference last season to make the playoffs with the third seed out of the SE. Took #2 seed Jubilee Chistian into overtime before losing. Started the season at 4-0.

Chuck Wyborney, Columbia (Hunters) - 8-1, after losing season opener to Clallam Bay by just four points they have won out, including a lopsided victory over NE rival Sprague-Harrington.

o.k. then andy ritter has not been mentioned at all.he has pushed his team this year harder than ever before and has had to make some big changes. his team is doing o.k. this year. come on guys.

We will have to see how Ritter the the Bay boys do in the playoffs. Underachievers last season and with the big senior class in numbers this year and their talent they should be in the State Championship. Anything short would be a disappointment.
