With much anticipation for the 2015 season, I am pleased to let you know that Royal’s first game of the season against Ephrata will be broadcast live at http://www.ifiberone.com/livetv/

Ephrata is looking for revenge after a narrow loss to the Knights in week 1 last year. They are looking to replace 25 graduated seniors, including 4 offensive line positions and a new quarterback. After a playoff appearance last year in the 2A classification, they are hoping to make it a yearly tradition.

Royal will also be replacing several line positions this season and how the line rounds in to form during the season will be key in their success. In contrast, the rest of the offense remains largely intact. Sophomore Kaden Jenks returns as a 3-year starter to lead the offense and returns all of his cast of receivers. Joe Lang will convert to running back; a position that he has played early in his football career. The Knight defense should be a team strength with experience and depth at most positions. They hope to get off to a fast start in week 1 in Ephrata.

Because this video broadcast is available to all at no charge, we will not be doing our usual audio webcast. Our first webcast of the season will be the following Friday, Sept. 11 from Naches Valley.

Go Knights!!

Do the Knights have a deep playoff run in them again? Sounds like they return a lot.

I personally think their success this year will revolve around the ability of the offensive line to come together over the first few games. Replacing a few there.
