Looking to get info on the history of the 4a/3a East Softball Regional over the years.

Well, historically, the East region has been dominated by teams from the GSL. University is the perennial powerhouse, having made regionals 10 times in the last ten years. They always seem to be able to reload and use the talent they have effectively. Shadle Park appeared each year between '98-'01 but has only made one more trip since then. Richland has been good in recent years, going in '01, '03, and '04 plus an appearance in '99. Moses Lake has also been 4 times in the last ten years, with their last apperence coming in '02. Do keep in mind though that 2 teams from the GSL recieve a regional birth, whereas only one team from the Big 9 gets to go. That is one reason for the high regional apperences by some GSL teams.
Look to see more of the northeast strong-hold on the east region this year as well. Doesn't look like things will be changing any time soon.
