The 2nd Annual National Prep Classic, hosted by St. Joseph High School will be held December 20-23, 2011 in Santa Maria, California. Located just 2.5 hours north of Los Angeles and 3.5 hours south of San Francisco, the National Prep Classic enjoyed an outstanding first year with 27 teams from throughout California and the nation in attendance. It is considered by many as one of the top high school tournaments on the West Coast.

Our #1 goal when putting on this tournament is to take care of our visiting teams by providing them great hospitality and quality games each and every day. Last year we had two different divisions based on competitiveness and we will do the same this year.

The National Division champion was Long Beach Poly, who has been ranked in the top 10 nationally all season long. Also in the National Division was: Westchester, Serra, Oakland, Dorsey, Bishop Montgomery, San Diego Hoover, Roosevelt, and Buchanan. Out of state teams in the National Division included: Christian Life (TX), Prestonwood Christian (TX), St. Andrew’s (RI) and Good Counsel (MD).

The Prep Division champion was Pacific Hills from Los Angeles. Also competing in the Prep Division was: Arroyo Grande, Beverly Hills, Birmingham, Community Charter, El Modena, Hanford, Healdsburg, L.A.C.E.S., Stevenson, Newbury Park, Rio Americano, Pioneer Valley and St. Joseph.

Several great players were also on display including: Michael Carter-Williams (St. Andrew’s ? Syracuse), Angelo Chol (Hoover ? Arizona), Ryan Anderson (Long Beach Poly ? Boston College), Jabari Brown (Oakland ? Oregon), Alexis Moore (Long Beach Poly ? USC), Zach Peters (Prestonwood Christian ? Kansas), Julius Randle (Prestonwood Chrsitian ? Top player in class of 2013), and many more.

All teams are guaranteed four games and we can make accommodations if you only desire to play three games. The entry fee is $550 and this includes complimentary breakfasts and dinners each day of the event.
