The playoffs for the 3A District 2 are set. After some last minute shuffling by the WCD, 5 teams will advance out of those games to the Bi-District Playoffs with the SW Washington teams.
The SPSL entries were pretty straight forward with 5 of their 6 teams advancing to districts.
But because of realignment, Seamount's three 3A teams and the Olympic League’s 3A Bremerton were playing for 3 spots. The seedings were based on a point total that kept everyone on edge all season. Hazen beat Highline 1-0 last night. The win eliminated the Pirates from the playoffs. The seedings into districts are #1 Kennedy, #2 Hazen, and #3 Bremerton.
Wednesday’s games ? “home” teams are listed second, seed # is to bi-district:
Kennedy (S/B #1) v Bonney Lake (SPSL #1), Harry Lang 7:30 - W = seed #1, L = seed #2
Auburn Mountainview (SPSL #4) v Hazen (S/B #2), Highline 5:30 - W = seed 4, L out
Peninsula (SPSL #5) v Decatur (SPSL #2), Harry Lang 5:30 - W = seed #3, L out
Bremerton (S/B #3) v Enumclaw (SPSL #3), Sunset, 5:30 - W = seed #5, L out
I’m researching the District 4 playoff structures. The district website isn’t very helpful. If any of you have any insight into what’s going on with the Narrow’s and GSHL district playoffs or seeding into Bi-district please let me know. Thanks.
