I like Prairie's chances against Bonney Lake in the District Semis.
BL's Marcel Pounds is a similar player to White River's Brooke Paulson, a very athletic shooting guard/wing that can hurt you from any part of the floor. Let's hope Prairie's freshman Lanz is healthy! Hopefully her defensive efforts can work the same way on Pounds as they did on Paulson.
Prairie has to use Emily Rowe on the offensive end, too. Rowe is very strong and has a bit of a height advantage in the middle. They've got to get it to her by the hoop. Gelhar and Goecke need to shoot well and hit some perimeter shots.
If Prairie does a lot of these things they will have a solid chance of getting to the District finals in my opinion. Bonney Lake hasn't had an incredibly tough road on the way to the playoffs so let's hope this helps.
