Royal pulled off a big win last Friday on the road against the Connell Eagles. After a slow start, Kaden Jenks and his crew of receivers got on the same page and outpaced the Eagles by a final score of 28-21. Credit goes to the defense while the Royal offense was working to get on track. Two interceptions and a fumble recovery certainly helped, but taking Eagle RB Jax Whitby out of the equation was probably the biggest factor. Whitby finished with just 35 yards rushing on 14 carries.
The win puts the Knights on the inside track to the league championship; only needing to win one of their final two regular season games. Royal will be highly favored in both. The first of those two games is tonight against the Columbia-Burbank Coyotes for Royal’s homecoming. Burbank brings a high scoring offense, but their defense has also allowed a lot of points. Who doesn’t love a shootout?
