meridian and chimacum are the only ranked teams coming from the tris (1/2/3) this year... but who is poised to have the 1 seed coming out of tris this year? which of those 2 teams has the better chance of winning in a 1 game playoff?? that is the game this saturday to look out for. the winner of that game will play cpc for the 1 seed going into regionals.

It is almost comical how the brackets fall into place. You are absolutely right about it being the game to watch. Chimacum is a very solid team, and I would take them as my pick for both games. They have a solid pitching core and a lineup that gets it done. Should be an interesting first game. CPC definitely gets helped out though with an automatic 2 seed or better to state!

Meridian played Chimacum in the Tri Districts semi final and this game could have gone either way. Chimacum led 2-0 with Meridian coming to bat in the bottom of the 5th. To this point Chimacum's lefty sophomore sensation, Cray, had stymied the Meridian bats. But with a runner on first, Rick Wiebe lined a shot over the left field fence to tie the score. It stayed this way until the bottom of the 7th. Meridian loaded the bases with one out. The count was 2-2 on the batter. The next pitch just nicked him. Game over.

That turned out to be the game of the day as Meridian beat CPS 3-0 in the championship with Zach Slesk pitching a one hitter.

both games were VERY clean baseball. both games could have gone either way really.. defense and pitching were outstanding for all three teams, meridian just played better small ball than the cowboys and eagles.

2)Cedar Park Christian
3)Chimacum
