2A, 1A state game times schedule now available

The WIAA has approved the time schedule for Class 2A and Class 1A state games at the Yakima Valley SunDome. Schedules are available on tourneytown.com, but have not yet been posted on the WIAA site.

There is some really good reading about the change in tournaments at your link for all the schools in the state. There were also some suggestions on what could have been done to make this workout financially within the existing system. I have another suggestion. Why didn't the City of Yakima or the Chamber of Commerce step up to the plate and offer some sort of financial help. After all, if Yakima businesses are losing a few million dollars, its seems that it would have been a pretty good investment for the community.
