a trend that seems to be emerging within each league, as well as in the whole state is that the former 3a schools (now 2a) are dominating the former 2a schools (still 2a). one example was the basketball state tournament this past week...does this same trend hold true for track?? any thoughts?

former 3a schools

I think you will see a similar trend because the 3A's that dropped to 2A's tend to be much larger than the remaining 2A schools (larger meaning student enrollement)...more students usually equals more athletes.
