Gonzaga Prep and Mead currently are tied for the top spot in the GSL with 8-1 records. Friday, Prep routed Central Valley 72-36, while Mead was avenging their only league loss, which was to Ferris, beating the Saxons 76-72 in overtime. Shadle Park is at 6-1. Prep's only loss, in league and on the season, was to Mead 53-52. Ferris is at 6-3 in league, North Central is 5-2. No other team has a winning record. Ryan Nicholas is averaging around 22 a game for Gonzaga. Robby Douglas of Shadle is putting in around 20 a game.

It is certainly going to come down to the wire this year. The way Prep has been playing since that stunner to Mead I think they will go through the next five games undefeated. They have Shadle and Mead at home and travel to Ferris. If they indeed can do that then they are the GSL champs.
But lets say for arguement sake that they win two of the three, example they beat Shadle, lose to Ferris and beat Mead. Assuming Mead and Ferris win out (besides Ferris loss to Prep in this example) is it a 3 way tie? Does Preps better overall record give them any help or is it strictly based on GSL "league" games. Anybody have any thought or input?
