Just a couple of thoughts on Lynden. The loss against King's to open the seaon may have been the best thing that could have happened to the Lions. Coming off a State Championship, with almost everybody back, they had to be feeling really good about themselves going into that opening game. The loss was like a slap to the face. I think it grounded them (players) and reminded them they had to bring their "A" game every week. I'm not sure if it was the 06 or 09 team that won both football State Championships, I'm thinking 09? Anyway, I think that team could definitely hang against the current group. Biggest concern for Lynden going into the playoffs is that the Evergreen Conference with teams like Capital, Tumwater, W.F. West and others is the toughest 2A Conference currently. Whoever Lynden faces out of that league is battle tested.
