Well this year was already looking a little bleak for the Falcons, who lost all their big guns and will start another year with a new and unproven coach. However, one of the Falcons that was sure to make an impact this year is no longer a Falcon.

Aislinn Konig, who played some pretty good minutes for Prairie last year as a freshmen, has moved back to Canada with her family.

I was really looking forward to seeing her step up this year as many of Prairie's stars graduated last season.

Really hoping Prairie's new coach can figure some things out and also hoping for a very stellar freshmen class... please?

I figured that was coming. Going to be a very unPrairie like year and eventually just another high school in SW Washington.

The Falcons will exceed last years achievements and get back to the Prairie way of working hard and playing hard. The coasting that plagued and ultimately doomed them last year left with Smith. Don't be to concerned about the departure of Konig. As we learned last year, Stars don't win championships, teams do.
