Who was at this game? How was the match up? sounds like it was a great game and prosser came out and played great D to shutout a team that scored big on them the first go around... D Garza was out second half, any ideas as to what might have happened that second half if he was in the game? Good luck to prosser as they move on and play a tough tumwater team. Great Year huskies!

A great game it was....Prosser played great, but honestly there best defense was Othells QB getting injured. Unfortunate for othello as they were totally dominating Prosser offensively and defensively. The huskies really came to play a tough way to end the season, really believe they were the better team. However the mustangs move on, best of luck to them. Great season huskies!!!

Good job to the mustangs on coming up with the win. But I feel had garza stayed in the game Othello would have won. They jumped out to a 14-0 lead and once garza got hurt Othellos offense could not do much. Othello had to replace garza with WR walker because there actual back up was hurt a few weeks ago. I feel game ends up resembling the first game they played if garza doesn't get hurt but kudos to Prosser for capitalizing on his injury.

Prosser won by 1 point - it's not like you dominated the game. Garza in the game likely gets the offense at least in field goal range one more time during the game. It's like Indianapolis last year - nobody would possibly suggest that they would have gone 2-14 with Peyton Manning at the helm, because a good QB can be a game changer.

Yes, injuries are a part of the game. But you cannot deny they also affect the outcome of said games, and when your starting quarterback goes down, that will almost always affect the game.

I only stayed around for the first half of this game after the Quincy game and it looked like Othello was the better team in the first half. It wasn't a dominating performance by either team. Prosser did what it needed to do to win though. They played better in the second half it looks like.

First of all, you have to understand the type of kid and career Garza has had at Othello. He is a 3-year starter, 1st team all league QB, and captain of this team. Nobody has seen action at QB at the varsity level except for Garza for the past 3 years. The backup, gets injured at practice, and is done for the season. So you tell me how many high school teams in the state have a quality 3rd-string QB to step in and replace him...?

So Othello has to bring in one of their two top receivers to play QB. Granted he doesn't do a bad job, but Othello becomes one-dimensional with the run game. When there is double and triple coverage on Lind, the passing game could not get going. And Prosser did a good job at stopping the run.

So 14-0 midway through the 2nd quarter, Prosser scores, next drive Garza goes down. Othello did not just lose their QB but they lost a leader and you could see it in the team's body language. The fact is, his injury was the game changer, but injures happen in football.

Probably the worst way to end a remarkable season for the Huskies.

Good luck to Prosser next week.
