why are the Westside brackets 8-man and the Eastside brackets 16? Some
of the brackets on the westside aren't even full and they get to take 4??!!
that means they get to take half to state. This doesn't seem quite right!!

Ya it is bogus, there will probably be 2 or 3 wrestlers that would place
in the top 6 in state from the eastside that wont even make it....
It should be more like 6 from the east and 2 from the west!!!!
after looking at the east's brackets, I was wrong, it should have been 5 east and 3 west.

The west side could have gone 16-man brackets, but chose not to do that since the WIAA makes all regions pay for the matches beyond an 8-man bracket.

The west side brackets do have some pigtails between north and south wrestlers who must win to get in the tournament.

I do notice that many of the east side brackets are not full 16-man brackets.
