Onalaska was dominant in a 25-8, 25-8, 25-8 in a sweep. Winlock scored 8 points total off of serve. After talking to the coach of Ony, they met Napavine in a jamboree and defeated them. Clearly Ony looks like one of the best 1A or 2B teams in this region.

After a weekend of facing some of the top volleyball competition in Washington and Oregon, Onalaska hosted the Cardinals of Winlock at home and defeated them soundly 25-8, 25-8, and 25-7.

It was an assertive performance as Amber Durand had 17 aces and 5 kills, while Samantha Gordon contributed 16 assists, 5 kills and 6 aces of her own. Kate Becket also threw in 4 kills for Onalaska.

Gordan also indicated some trickery that Winlock may not have been ready for. “We have three (Amber Durand, Samantha Gordon and Hailey Givens) girls that are doing three different types of jump serves. It is just a total different look”.

Onalaska Head Coach Susan Gordan graded her team out fairly well in the performance. “We have to learn to play at our level no matter who we play. Especially when we are looking at were we want to be. We have to be able to play our game and our style.”
