Ok most year's first state rankings for the small schools are just a rewrite of last year's state results but...
With all the changes around the state, last year's 1A state results don't tell much.
1 - the ranking's don't even consider the 2A schools moving down. come on, Lakeside (nine mile falls) finished second 2A last year with at least 4 varsity returning and are not mentioned. Nooksack Valley girls totally snubbed as well.?????
2 - seattle academy and charles wright's guys are ranked 1 and 2 while they have graduated at least 5 varsity runners each.
3 - only 5 teams deserve ranking. what the heck. there are more 1A xc teams than 2A but they get 10 ranked.
If the rankers don't want to bother ranking the smaller schools then they should find someone who does. (if they are reading this, i would be glad to step up) It is not that hard to sort out who is 1A and who graduated who from last year's state teams.
