Looks like East Valley is in the driver's seat to claim the league title. Prosser and Ellensburg could find themselves right under the Devils at season's end. Othello, Ephrata and this season's surprise team Grandview are in the thick of things. The Hounds set 3-1 in league, with toughies Ellensburg, East Valley and Prosser coming up. I really like the new format where not all CWAC games count as league games. This puts everybody on a level playing field and takes the guessing out of seeding for districts.

East Valley showed the Hounds why they are still the team to beat in the CWAC with a 6-0 victory on Saturday.

It's funny how different teams match up to one another. Prosser knocks off EV on Saturday and then the Stangs get by Grandview last night to stake a claim in the CWAC League title. The fiesty Greyhound squad was no doubt the surprise of the CWAC this year. Mustang Helen Peterson is fun to watch and will no doubt play somewhere at the next level. Adams, the sophomore has had two monstorous goals the past two games to propel Prosser to the win. East Valley in my oppinion is still the best soccer team from a skilled standpoint in the CWAC. Grandview has young and impressive talent, but the seniors in the middle of the field will be difficult to replace. Seniors Isabel Islas, Gabby Montelongo amd Esma Sanchez have been the glue and springboard to this team this season. The Hounds travel to Ellensburg to play the Bulldogs during the first round of districts.
