the sun was shining hot on dock harris stadium where white salmon and overlake met. both teams we're looking for a win.

overlake pressured early and we're having many attempts on goal early in the first half. white salmon was playing on there heels and had difficulty getting the ball up the field. but after the first 10 min, things started to change. white salmon started to look better, and was pushing far into overlakes defense. but on a communication break down, in between a defender and white salmon goalie, both players left the ball unpressured and an overlake forward only had to tap it a few feet into the net.

white salmon, demoralized, finished the half with unsuccessful forward attacks, and overlake began to hold onto their lead and used counter attacks as their main offense.

at half a new team stepped out onto the field. white salmon was dominating possesion and was passing around overlake's players effectively, and after about 20 minutes, managed to put one past the overlake keeper.

overlake began to open up their game and play with more risks now that they had to put another goal in to win. white salmon kept up the pressure and so did overlake, where the midfield battle was pretty intense. on an attack up the middle Lovrin #8 had a beautiful volley to the top left corner, and overlake's keeper saved it with the tips of his fingers, everyone was amazed at the save, it was incredible. had to have been the nicest so far in state.

with six minutes to go white salmon penetrated up the middle with a nice pass, opening up the defense and leaving for a one on one with the keeper. and our forward put it softly past the keeper into the side of the net.

awesome game, very fast paced and exciting for players and fans alike. overlake finished with perseverance and great sportsmanship, congratulating us on our victory, and players wishing us luck in state.

it's exciting for us to go back to the final four, two years in a row, and represent a district that is given little to none credit for soccer.
