Trey Dreschel hits the game winning 3 in overtime to give the CPC Eagles a Nisqually League win over the Seattle Christian Warriors 57-54. The win improves CPC's record to 3-0. Evan Scholten had a solid game inside and led all scorer's with 16 points. The game started out with solid defense on both sides as both teams failed to score or even foul for about the first 4 minutes. Seattle Christian capitalized on sloppy CPC play in the 2nd half with long range 3 point accuracy to gain a 1 point edge in the fourth quarter for their first and only lead in regulation. With 4 seconds left, Seattle Christian's Cody Miller tied up the game to send it into extra minutes, but was held to single digits for the night. It seemed as though Eagle Junior Isaiah Penchion was a brick wall against Warrior attempts to drive inside. He finished the night taking at least 4 charges and put up 12 points. Eagle Sophomore David McLaurin scored 5 points in the overtime to finish with 10 points on the night. I credited Seattle Christian #3 with 15 points mainly from downtown and #1 scored 13 with 4 of those coming from the line. All player scoring stats are unofficial. A dusty floor appeared to add to some of the slip and slide travelling violations. Next up Eagles will face fellow Nisqually league newcomer BCS at home. Tinychuck thought the student section was loud at the King's game. The gym was just electric at the last meeting of BCS @ CPC.
