Hockinson and Mark Morris had a very strong Friday night.... granted, both teams played arguably the worst of the big schools in Southwest Washington...
Hockinson 60, Fort Vancouver 7: Hockinson charged to a 46-0 halftime lead, big first half. Fort Vancouver just had no organization, seems like no solid coaching or direction. Sad to see, because it was clear there were some athletically potential kids out there. Hawks eased up and emptied the bench in the second half, scoring a touchdown in each of the final quarters. Some young guys had some fun out there and got their chance to see some varsity action.
Mark Morris 63, Hudson's Bay 0: MM toppled the 3A Eagles with a big running game and ran out to a 56-0 lead at halftime! Yikes. Bench came out early and the Monarchs would only score one touchdown in the second half.
Hockinson & MM are certainly pretty good teams, but yikes, 3A GSHL teams have some work to do!

Hockinson will take on MM's victim from last night, Hudson's Bay, next week. Meanwhile, the Monarchs will take on another struggling 3A team Columbia River.
