Mt. Vernon survived a brutal first week of league play with 2 wins, hosting Lynden and going on the road to beat Sehome. Word was passed along that Lynden played Mt. Vernon tough and if they hadn't taken a red card they might have one. Early indications are that everyone will be chasing Mt. Vernon (again). Congrats to Burlington, Squalicum, Bellingham, & Ferndale on a fine start to league play. As always, it will be exciting in the NWC.
