We'll have new champions this year

Not a single state champion in 3A or 4A, boys or girls, are around to defend their titles. Been a very long time since that has happened. This is the year of the return of the runner-ups.

Very interesting indeed. Must have been some senior-laden teams last year

Hopefully it is time for one runner-up to claim a title. Saturday is one important night for a lot of teams and a hard road for some. Up front I am thinking of Skyview and Lake Stevens. Both are quality teams, highly rated. One of them is not going to the Tacoma Dome and that's a shame.


Prairie needs to play well too to not be one of the teams riding home on the bus in a confused state.
