Was surfing around, looking for interesting topics and noticed on a 2A posting that Mt Baker had dropped down from 2A to 1A this yr. When was the last time they made it to the 2A tourney?

Baker was at the State Tournament in 2010 when they took 5th. The time before was 2007 where they took 4th.

Good to know. Means they have a basketball tradition in being competitve and even though these kids in the program now didn't take part in it, they certainly were aware of the success. Also, it takes a good coach to get his teams to the tourney, doesn't just happen by talent alone.
I think we'll see Toledo drop to the B ranks next rotation as enrollment now is 240 and dropping. The A's are now the largest classification and WIAA was talking about restructuring #'s and talk was moving 12-15 teams down into the next B classification as it was the smallest. Of course there are teams playing out of their classifications now, opping up because of travel and what not, but Toledo is right in the middle of one of the largest B leagues in the state and would be easy to do.
Thanks for the info.

They seem to make it to the state tournament every 2 or 3 years, because they made the tournament in 2005 also and lost a 2nd round heartbreaker to LC. Gray is a phenomanal coach, becuase Baker doesnt have a plethora of talent like the Lynden schools seem to. But he always fields a real solid team that maxes out on their potential (except for 2011)
