Double overtime. Referee calls a very ticky tack foul on Cedarcrest defender with 20 seconds left to 2nd ot. Sehome gets a free kick and Tursic hits a beauty with no time left.

Why was it ticky tack? Did the player who got fouled fall down on his own?

Usually refs won't call something that late in the game unless it's pretty serious. That's an awful way to lose if you're Cedarcrest

Nobody fell down. It was a psss sent to the forward with him and the defender working to collect the ball. A few runs earlier by Tursic were called back for phantom calls against Tursic (I think the ref was tired of his complaining). It was a physical game with much worse being allowed by both teams. Point is that for the last play of a double overtime, it should take more than two players bumping into each other for the ball to give a team a free kick at the goal line. It does beat deciding the game on pk's however .

Sounds like Tursic is an awfully tough player...lots of danger attached to his runs and lots of goals. He gets on the refs a little bit though? If you stop him, does Sehome have anyone else that can create

From watching high school and mls games yes a player would fall on his own. Soccer players are some of the best actors around. Where else can a player be on his death bed one second and run around all healed 5 seconds later.

Sehome does have other players who can make things happen, but Nino is a great player. The mariners played without tursic for the first few games of the season because he still had basketball, and they did fine.
